My name is Julie Bettesworth and alongside my role as a Teaching Assistant in the Foundation Stage I am also the Parent Liaison Advisor for our school. I have worked at Bromley Heath Infant School for over 12 years and before that I was involved as a parent helper and FOS member.
I am married and have three children, two sons aged 25 & 24 and a daughter aged 19. They all attended Bromley Heath so I have experienced the school as a parent & staff member which means that I can relate to many of the worries and concerns you may have.
What Kind of help can I give?
Are you worried about behaviour issues or friendships? Have you experienced bereavement, do you have any worries or concerns (big or small) that you would like to talk about?
If I haven’t got the answers I will do my best to help by giving you information about agencies that can help/support you and your family.
I can offer a sympathetic ear, help and support in the following areas:
- Establishing routines at home to help with punctuality and attendance.
- Supporting your child’s behaviour at home and school.
- Worries & concerns you may have about your child.
- Signposting to agencies that may be able to support you and your family e.g. bereavement support, behaviour management, Parenting courses etc
If you would like to talk to me about anything, please pass a note to me via your child’s class when you drop them off in the morning or speak to me to arrange an appointment. I can be found on Giraffe Class door most mornings and would love to meet you. I am available to listen to your concerns from 2.50-3.10pm most afternoons.
Sometimes just sharing those little worries & concerns can make a big difference so please don’t be afraid to talk about them.
