Children in South Gloucestershire are eligible for full time education if they have reached their fourth birthday by 31st August, in the year they are due to start. Bromley Heath Infant School has an intake of 60 children into the Foundation Stage classes each year; they are organised into two classes of 30 children. This complies with the Governments guidance on class sizes.
We operate an induction programme for the children entering the Foundation Stage to ensure that they settle into school life successfully.
South Gloucestershire’s Local Education Service co-ordinate admission to the Foundation Stage; but the school facilitates this process. Further details can be found online at www.southglos.gov.uk/admissions or in the booklet “Information for Parents – Admission to Schools in South Gloucestershire.”
We have close links with our partner junior school and all Year 2 children are eligible to transfer automatically to Bromley Heath Junior School at the end of the year on completion of a transfer form during the year.
