The School Day

The school day starts at 8.45 am. Children enter the classrooms via the playground at the rear of the school. There is a one way system in operation around the school to ease the flow of children and adults. All children, other than EYFS, enter from the gate on the right and exit through the gate on the left: Giraffe children generally enter through the gate on the left as it is by their classroom door.

All classes are welcomed by a familiar adult in the morning and if you have any messages regarding your child please leave them with this person; they will relay them for you.

School Times

8.40 – gates open

8.45 – doors open

8.50 – doors close – registration/morning session starts

12.00 – lunch

1..15 – registration/ afternoon session starts

3.15 – home time

Year two (and year one later in the year, when their learning is less play-based) also have a morning and sometimes afternoon playtime.

Foundation stage children use the indoor and outdoor learning environment throughout the day.
