World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day on the 6th March by dressing up as our favourite book character. We had lots of Princesses, Harry Potters and Animals and everyone looked fantastic. The children took part in lots of fun activities through out the day including drama, cooking and writing stories.

At the end of the day we held an assembly where each class were able to show the rest of the school what they had been doing through out the day; and they all received their £1 book voucher.

November 2007 - Children in Need

We all did something different for Children in Need 2007. The children donated £1 to wear face paints to school for the day. The children and staff came to school wearing face paints. Everyone looked great and we had lots of Pudsey Bears, cats, tigers and butterflies in school.

The whole school also took part in an early morning wake and shake activity where we learned to dance to a piece of music. We raised £139.41

October 2007 - Lunch Sharing

The parents of children in Zebra Class and Giraffe Class were invited to share lunch with them on Monday 1st October and Tuesday 2nd October. This was the first time the foundation stage children stayed for lunch and having their parents join them helped with their induction into school.

This was also an opportunity for the parents to sample the quality and standards of the school meals. It was a very successful event and I am sure we will repeat it for other year groups.
