About the Friends
The Friends of Bromley Heath Infant School (FOS) would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone about the FOS and the fund-raising events due to be held throughout this school year. FOS is a fundraising group with charity status set up to help buy extra resources for your children which cannot be financed through normal school funds. We organise fun events throughout the year for both parents and children, and your help in organising and running these events is a great way for you to support this, get to know each other, and feel involved in your school.
The committee meet about once a month at school during the evening. We usually have sub committees to organise each event which spreads the workload more evenly. If you would like more information or would like to join, please see any of the committee members, drop us an email bhifos@googlemail.com or leave a message for us in the FOS tray in the school office. There is also a suggestions box in the school reception area if you have any thoughts on events we could hold/activities we could do to help raise money for the school.
Fund Raisers and Donations
The 2010-2011 committee did an amazing job leading the team to raise a total of £6,144. Funds raised went towards school trips, the playground pathways project and the purchase of school chairs as well as towards useful resources for the classrooms such as six digital cameras, a paint dryer, art storage and sand and water equipment. We have also been able to give two new bears, Charlie and Theo, to our reception classes as Chester was loved so much in Giraffe class last year that he has now ‘graduated’ to Penguin class
