Playground Development.

Our plans to develop our playground are now underway.  On Saturday 6th March a fantastic team of volunteer parents spent the day digging out the pond, removing and replacing fencing and clearing the way ready for our outdoor area to be impoved and extended during the Easter holidays (and the first week back to school).  Making these changes to our grounds will extend the play opportunities available to our children, so a massive thanks to our volunteers for getting this project started.

Our plans for the playground are on the wall for you to see in the school foyer.

Outdoor Learning Environment
I am pleased to report that preparation work will begin this weekend when a group of parents from the outdoor play group will be clearing the area. My thanks to this group and Mrs Hulm for co-ordinating its work. Your help and support is invaluable and greatly appreciated.

The plans are now displayed outside the school office so that you can see the long term vision as well as the initial work in phase 1.

Wake and Shake festival
Wake and Shake is an activity that the children engage in most days. It is based on routines and movements to music that the children learn.
On Thursday 18 March we shall be taking part in a Wake and Shake festival at Downend school. A group of children from Year 1 and Year 2 will be selected to participate by Mrs Warren and parents will be informed accordingly.
